Obituary : Gordon Smith
SMITH Gordon (Smudge) (Lochend / Restalrig) Suddenly, but peacefully, at home, on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, Gordon, former piper of Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, Lothian Borders Police Pipeband, ex piping instructor for Sultanate of Oman and Lodge 48, beloved husband of Yvonne, loving father to Karen and Gordon, a wonderful uncle, son-in-law and brother, a good friend to all who knew him. Sadly missed by all. Funeral Service at Warriston Crematorium (Lorimer) Chapel, on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at 2 pm. Flowers, if desired, may be sent to Abercorn Choices Funeral Services, 200 Piersfield Terrace, 0131 669 1719. A retiral collection will be taken after the service in aid of a charity close to Gordon.
